PLEASE STAY TUNED TO THE END OF THIS POST FOR LOTS OF HELPFUL LINKS!!
Thank you Cheryl for this opportunity to wrap up the year and take stock on all our accomplishments. Overall, I wish there had been more time to sew in 2023, but that’s life! I almost exclusively stitched for charities, and occasionally for a fun blog hop. Thank goodness for those hops which push and inspire me. (Thank you to Carol, Joan and Carla for the fabulous, monthly hops.) I’ve not been able to do them each time, but they never fail to motivate and push me. I didn’t finish anything big, but I did use up some scraps and keep myself busy. I found the end of this year challenging on a personal level but I’ll avoid talking politics or anything of that sort. This is a time for looking forward and cherishing the good things only.
Meanwhile, below are some photos of a few projects I did this year.
My sewing goals for 2024 are the following:
- First, I want to find more creative sewing time and resulting joy while diving through my growing mounds of fabric scraps.
- This year, I hope to complete at least 2 quilts. That means completely finishing them… binding and all.
- I hope to write more blog posts and document the positive things going on in my life.
- I hope to find time to join at least one BOM or quilt challenge for 2024.
- I want to try and avoid buying fabric while giving some away to charities that I love.
Finally, to keep me inspired, I collected a list of quilty link ups and other monthly quilt projects or challenges. Maybe this will help someone else.

So many colorful projects! I’m drooling over the Plaidish quilt. And giggling about the Crap bin. We could all use one of those, in reality and metaphorically.
